The Manrara-Gaston family tree allows the family to preserve and share their ancestry and family history. Future generations will be able to discover their genealogy and place in the family tree.
The family tree is a window into the history of Cuban families from the 1900s who grew and prospered in Cuba and eventually settled in Miami during the exile mass migrations that began in 1960. It chronicles the family’s intergenerational social mobility and kinship ties that extend from Cuba to the United States, Guatemala and Spain.
The Manrara Family History Video and Web Platform is based on Carmelina’s recollections, the matriarch of the Manrara Gastón family.
